The year just keeps on scuttling ahead.

Additional progress on more timelines of events in several pieces. The planning part is like playing Scrabble. You have all these little tiles of things you want to happen, or need to happen, so you keep sliding them around until they fit together perfectly. You want it smooth, no bumps or rough edges, no peeking under the mat to see what’s making it all work, you just want it to be a cohesive experience for the reader.

So you go and do all the work, then a character pops up and says ‘Yeah, we’re not doing that’, and suddenly you have to start the last half over.

Stupid characters.

But all goes well. Work is slowing down so I have been able to relax a little more and can think about story paths and timelines. Good stuff!
